New Bariatric Cot

Nationwide there has been an increase in both the number of obese patients and in the severity of their obesity and condition. The current generation of EMS cots were not designed to handle the largest of these patients. Because of this, transporting some of these patients can be unpleasant for the patient and potentially dangerous for both the patient and the crew members. Loudoun-Fairfax Ambulance has solved this problem by placing in service a new Stryker MX-PRO Bariatric Transport.

Loudoun-Fairfax Ambulance has entered into an agreement with Continuing Care Corp., d.b.a. Annaburg Manor, in Manassas Virginia, to provide ambulance and wheelchair transportation of their residents.
